The Fabulous Cardinals

On Tuesday October 7th,2014 The Cardinals were playing against the LA Dodgers and i thought it was over by the 5th inning because the dodgers were winning 2 to .. But when we got to the 7th inning everything changed We had scored a Three Run Home run because of Matt Adams and my mom was screaming at the top of her lungs.. I just got up off the couch and went outside of my house and screamed WE'RE NOT GOING BACK TO LA BOIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!! i couldn't believe that the cardinals had made it to the World Series 4 times in a row. They made it in 2011, and won,2012,2013,and This YEAR This time we're not losing and when we win my mom said shell buy me a world series hoodie.. In 2011 i actually got to go to won of the play off game and i was so happy. I also went to a game in 2013 and i was sad because we were losing

Back tuck Mania

I went to dance yesterday and i was in acro and i was doing a front walkover back tuck because i needed to practice doing them because i am horriable at doing them. But when i did the first one it was horriable like always but i thought to myself at least i didn't fall i actually landed. So i did the second one and it was a little better but no quite my best i knew i could do a lot better. So then i thought maybe if i do a front walkover and pause before i go into my back tuck it will help a little, so i did what i thought to myself in my head and it helped a lot.. So i just kept doing that but each time i would make the pause shorter and shorter and i finally did it! It was perfect And Ms. Sarah even said that if i wanted this year if it keeps getting better i can do it in my solo. I'm so Excited

Pangea

If Pangea was suddenly formed again there would be a lot of earthquakes. I think that if pangea reformed it would be bad because there are lots of teriosts that are already trying to harm the U.S then it would just make it easier for them toget to us. Plus if Pangea were to reform there would probably be less traveling or less use of planes because all of the continets would be close together. alo there would probably be a couple of hurricanes becasue of the oceans and if the continets were to move it would make the oceans start going or making them have big waves.

Yesterday my mom told me that on christmas eve she was gonna have a huge suprize for me. I didnt really know hat she was talking about at first. But then she asked me what my favorite movies was to watch around christmas and i said The Polar Express. I just love watching it when its close to christams, and my mom said ya i know thats your favorite movies thats why im gonna take you to Union Station on christmas eve so u can ride it.. I said "WHAT' with the biggest smile on my face and she said yep. Plus she told me that when u ride it you get the very first christmas present that was given on Christamas in the movie The Bell. Iam so excited for christmas!

Super Tacos

Ok so the food i wiould super size is a Taco. I would super size tacos because everyone loves tacos and i can see lots of people paying to buy one of the most delicious foods that were even bigger than normal. So how i make it is make a regular taco with meat ,cheese, lettuce, sourcream,and tamatoes,and maybe some salsa if your feeling like u want your taco a little spicey. the chell could be either hard or soft but im showing you guys a hard crispy golden chell. So when the show airs people will be  running and calling to see if they order millions. And the people that dont really dont like tacos,your gonna love them supersized and there made even better than a normal size tacos.

Remeber 9/11

On 9/11 my mother was pregnant with me. she had gone into leighbor like 2 hours after one of the planes were flown into the grond so it wouldnt hit the white house. my personal feelings about it are why would you want to hurt so many innocent people that had nothing to do with your war. Another thing is i dont think people should sacrfice their life just to kill others! But becaus emy mom was in leinor for about a whole day all the doctors were glued to the tv like it was a actual movie that had been in the middle of New York City.

Cathy Roe dance Competiton

Last year at the Cathy Roe dance competition i did a solo to Ellie gouldings song explosians. The song was on a movie called Endless love i went and saw that movie on valentines day last year and loved it. But when i had dance the next week after valentines day Miss sarah asked me if i wanted to do a solo when we went to competition. I told her yes i would love to and she gave me a list of songs.. There were only 3 songs on the list and they were Explosians by Ellie Goulding Warrior by by Demi Lavato and  Moms song by Carrie underwood, i chose explosians obviously and it only took Miss Sarah  about three to four weeks to choreagraph the dance and for me to perfect it. When we finally made it to competition i did the solo in the 11 to 13  catagory and i think i did a pretty amazing job. so finally when awards came they announced my solo as winning the second place! I was so happy right after i got off stage i ran up to Miss Sarah and gave her a big hug and said thank you choregraphing  my solo!

Writing Magial Home

The most magical houses are the ones that you bulid yourself. You can add a lot of what you want. I know this because i see lots of people do it often because of the career i have. I sell houses and lots of then. One woman and her family asked me if i could help them manage and build there house from the ground up. i said well sure. But first were going to need a sketch or a drawing of what you want tour house to look like. So they came back to me and showed me there sketch and i got right on it!! in the next three weeks or so i would make there dream come true. so over the next cople of weeks there was a lot of building and sculpting and shaping of the house.

Leviathan

I recently researched the philososphy of a man named Thomas Hobbes and his book Leviathan. If you dont know who Hobbes i will tell you. When civil war broke out in England a few hundred years ago Hobbes was loyal to the British royal family House Stewart. during this time Hobbes created a political philosophy on how goverment should work. Hobbes said that humans as a species are greedy and evil and only care about themselves and what they have. Hobbes said that if people make deals someone will just break it while the other has his turned. For example to men can be trading bread and meat but when the man with meat turns around the man with bread will just steal all the meat. Hobbes said that the only way to solve this was by having an all powerful ruler that he called a Leviathan.

What annoys me? Haters and hypocrates annoy me because there always hating and then if you hate on then back they act like theyve never done anything thing wrong. Let me give you an example of this situation once this kid, lets just call him Jojo was being me to me. Well to stand up for his really mean bullying i slapped hi min the face not even that hard and what does he do? He acts like he didnt do anyhting wrong at all and acts like a big baby. This annoys me because it made me out as the bad guy when I was just defending myself.

Greatest........comic......ever!!!!!!

Yesterday I got hte newest issue of The walkking Dead. this issue started a whole new volume and may i say it waas the greatest issue of hte walking dead so far. If your afraid of spoilers dont read on, the issue began with a new group of survivors being saved by the original group of survors who take them back to the safe haven Alexandria safe zone.But heres the catch, all the characters look compeletly different I mean Rick now has a buzzcut and a hook and has a cane now due to his leg which was badlt hurt last issue and Carl has grown his hair out and no longer wheres an eye patch but a pair of sunglasses and Paul Monroe has his hair in a bun so he looks like a samurai. and the safe zone appears to be miles bigger and and is full of new houses and buildings and has HUUUUGE gardens. So why is evrything so different? It was revealed at the end of the issue that this issue takes place 2 full years later so 4 years after the zombie outbreak started.

Kid Nation 7

Today we watched another Kid Nation. The episode started with 2 girls selling peach cobler. It seems taht amany of the children have started there own stores. Later some member of the green team confronted  the children who were selling and fights errupted. Jared one of the children freaked out and knocked a whole bunch of stores down. After this even more fights errupted which ended with nothing productive but more fighting.The council read the book which talked about a hidden gold mine and decided to check it out.Later Jared made up with the people he fighted with. The council found the mine and went really deep under. Later a member of the green team put rotten vegetables in a bucket and said there was money in it which was a lie. This to me is negative deviance as shes not doing what shes supposed to and is purposely being mean.

After the council found the gold they called a meating and told the other children about it.They told the children that they used the money to use everything the town needed including fun stuff like baseball bats. One of the children got upset because he is kind of an outsider so he didnt play or anything like that. Nathan, the boy got bullied by Greg and was messed with continuously. I see Greg as a deviant because hes being purposely mean and is messing with Nathan just to be a jerk.

Later anohter showdown was called and the challenge was to catch golden eggs in the air and then run them into a bucket. This was a very hard challenge for the children as the eggs kept breaking. The gole fore all teams together was to get over 4 dozen eggs to win a reward which they did. In the end blue got first,yellow got second, green won third and red lost.In they end they could win a washer that costs 30 cents a person or an old timey washer. The council meat and chose the old timey washer.I think there choice had a lot to do with social norms because the council was very much pressured by the citezines to make there choice.

One of the children Jerry started a neckless buisness and made alot of money off it. Alot of pressure came over the gold star and alot of pressure came. The kid Nathan got a big apology by his bully Greg who understood that hes just a bit different and wanted to be Natahns friend. Nominations started over who should have the gold star and most votes went towards Divad, Faro and Nathan. A town meeting was called and when asked who approved of the councils job most children approved. The complaints there were were over people beingh lazy. When asked if anyone wanted to leave no one did. And last but not least the winner of the gold star was Nathan. This upset kids like Divad who thought they deserved the star.

Kid Nation 6

Today we watched a new Kid Nation. The episode started with the council waking the children up only to be made fun of by Taylor the yellows former leader. Also in the the trash pit has gottten huge so the council read the book which said to get rid of it. The council in the end decided to remove it and selected a group of people including Taylor. This to me seems like a formal organization because its a group that has only one cause and goal.

Taylor and her friend continually complained about cleaning up and the council in the end decided to punish them. When it was time to dig the hole Guylan did a terrible job and snapped and left because of not doing good . Taylor and her friend had a talk and her friend named Layla decided to come and help and with the team quickly got the trash in the hole. Later it was discovered that the water tank was completely empty so as punishment for Taylor the council made her go back and forth with water to clean up.I see this as showing authority because the council had to punish Taylor to show taht they are in charge.

Tyalor was confronted by the council and she freaked out and screamed and moaned like a baby in anger at them. After this a group of kids filled the water tank. Finally another show down was schedualed and the teams met in town. The chalenge was to find cans of beans through a whole bunch of pork and wet beans every where within 15 minutes. In the end red one upper class, green won second, yellow won cooks, blues won laborers. In the end the councel had the choice between a whole bunch of food or doom buggies. In the end though they decided to choose the food. I see the challenge today as cooperation because the teams had to work together to get the beans.

It was decided that Layla and Taylor would clean dishes but instead of doing that they cooked without permission. It was when this happend that the council decided not to ever give them a gold star. After this 2 upper class were fighting with water and had to be yelled after one got hurt. At the town council meeting the only complaint was Taylor who had attitude when they brought her up. A huge argument erupted over Taylor but DK silenced it. When it was asked if anyone wanted DK raised his hand to everyones surprise especially the council since he would win the star. Guylan later spoke to DK privately about leaving so DK decided to stay. ALmost right after htis DK was given the gold star.

Kid nation 5

Today we watched the fifth kid nation. The episode started with one of the yellpw team members trying to geet the other members to wake up and work and then it is revealed that the blues are having the same problem.. Later the council reads the town book and tells everyone that they are having re-elctions for the council. some of the children who are running is Zack who is part of the yellow team the green team however is happy with there leader. Later a meeting is called and most of the council leaders want to be re-elected. One member of the red team named Gaylan is running, another in the blue.I see this as a social network because because all of these groups are working together.

Later Zach makes his speach and wants to impeach the yellow leader. After this chalenge time begins and as a group they have to bust open pinyatas which have pictures of past presidents then put the presidents in order. Green finished first but was wrong and after them yellow won and after this green got 2nd as laborers and after them red got cooks in 3rd and finally blue got 4th as laborers. Many people are definately angry that yellow won as they have the worst leader. I saw a lot of conflict in this contest more than any of the others because all the children were fighting and arguing with fellow teams to know which presidents go in order to defeat the other teams.

When it was time to choose a prize the children had to choose between a barbecue or toothbrushes and tooth paste and choose the tooth paste and the tooth brushes.When election day finally came all the children who were running for the council came under great stress and tried to convince as many people as they could to vote for them by setting up posters and making speeches but also by talking to people individualy. Lots of fights broke out over people protesting and tearing down posters. This caused even more stress on the kids. I definately see this as an in group, out group sort of situation because all the children are teaming up in different groups and are targeting each other to in this case get them on there side.

When before the elections began Greg, who has been frustrating about htis threw the whole show, finally won the gold star. When elections started the winners were Laurel from green who was re-elcted,  Anjay who was re-elected, Gaylan for the red, and finally Zack for yellow. All the children who were elected amde there speeches and it actually seemed like the children who lost the vote were ok with it at least a bit. After one more speech the children go back to there bunks. Greg later on calls his mom who freaks out over him winning his gold star.      

Kid nation 4

Today we watched another kid nation. The episode starts with over whether or not God brought them there for a reason. Later the council finds a book talking about how faith is important in the town and needs to be inforced. after this the council ounouces that they are going to have a religous service which is a very conterversial subject. It seems that religion to the children gives them a certain status almost as they think dufferent religions will split kids into different groups that are looked upon differently.

Later a small child asks children there religous beliefs and the council rang the church bell to start a service but no children came. Althpugh i dont support the children not going and think they should go to church it is still there right not to as they should be able to choose whether or not to be religous or not.

Later the children make a bonfire to pray about there time there and ask God to give them face. This very much in my eyes socil interaction because the children came together to learn about there beleifs.

The next day the children had alot of fun but one of the children seperated himself from the rest of the yellow group to work but only compalined. The children were called to a showdown. The chalenge was to find puzzle pieces and put them together to look like a church. In the end blue team got 1st, red got 2nd,yellow got 3rd and green got 4th.Becuase fothis each group was assighned with different roles because all the groups now have differentm roles.

The choice the counci lhad was to choose some minny golf or holy books of different religions. The group though instead of choosing many golf chose the books. After this many children got upset and began to miss home. After this it was discovered that once again the leader of the yellows didnt do her job and even after being approached didnt do them. Because of this red green blue and some yellow had to unite to wash the dishes. The next day it snowed at he town and the council discussed who should earn the gold star and at the council meeting the only complaint was the yellows leader. after the children were asked whether or not they wanted to leave only one kid named Cody left because he missed his grandma The person who was chosen for the star was Morgan one of the younger girls. She recieved the star for working hard and not complaining.

"The poorest president"

  President Jose Mujica of Uruguay donates 90 percent of the money he makes to charity giving him only a $1,250  salary. So what do i have to say about this guy? Hes got swag! In fact instead of people calling him the poorest president they should call him the swaggiest one. I think that he is incredibly generous and deserves respect from not just all of Uruguay but the world. He says that he doesn't feel poor and that poor people are just the ones who obsess over being rich and that hes happy the way he is and i couldn't agree more.

Mrs Debolt

My name is Garrison Gosling but you already know that. So i'm gonna teach you about some stuff that you don't know about me. I love to research Philosophy, History and Theology, they are my favorite subjects and I actually like to research them on my own. I usually research things like Theology and History through documentary's and my own internet studies, I read books on them as well . But Philosophy is a bit harder topic to find. Because of this I do research it on the internet but mainly books. I often wonder why I got into these subjects and not sports and i think the reason is because I cannot play many. you see I was born with a couple conditions in my back, face, kidneys and 2 of my ribs that do not allow me to play sports(my conditions aren't anything serious or anything, they just dont allow me to play things that involve contact ). So because i never got into sports like Football it kinda of became a domino affect of me not like sports in general although, I do like to go to and watch a Hockey game. Because i never got into sports I guess i just became interesting in other things and i'm ok with that. I also have Dyslexia, so because of that things things like Math and English are for me to understand. It also makes me get confused easily. Although i have gotten better in English due to great tutoring i got in second grade. A lot of people ask me how I can understand things like Philosophy but not simple Math and to tell you the truth I dont really know either. a book series that helps me understand it though applies it to shows and books i like, like theirs a book called Game of Thrones and philosophy and Batman and philosophy. If you a haven't noticed yet i'm a big nerd but that's ok.

                                                                    Yay its Easter!!!!


My Easter was great. I got presents , hung out, i even got to wear robes to church. although i know the Easter bunny isn't real i still get presents for Easter. This year I got a new Walking Dead T shirt, some new comic books a Walking dead action figure, and some game of Thrones T shirts, all given to me by different people. On Easter Sunday i went to both my dad and my moms churches. I usually go to my moms and my dads every once and a while but its usually an occasion when i go to both back to back.

Today we watched another Kid nation. In the episode after having a hard time the children had a big party while other kids tried to sleep. The children have been definitely going threw re-socialization  because they've been coming to terms with there life in the town and have adopted new norms. So many of the children it seems have been adapting to there new lives Although that doesn't mean there's still no conflict.

That morning the children were incredibly tired after partying all night and because of this a lot of the children began fighting and began cursing which made many children uncomfortable. Although the children having been growing used to there lives at the town that hasn't stopped arguments. One of the main children causing problems has been Greg and because of him and many other children a 9:30 curfew. Later some kids played pranks on cows by chasing them. It seems that many children are using Greg and his friends as a reference group because they don't want to act like them.

Later the teams were called to play another game and each team has to catch specific Sheep in a group of Sheep. The council tells the teams which sheep they need according to a list. In the end yellow team won 1st, blue won 2nd, green won 3rd and red won last. This I see as game stage because the children have to play the game based on what other will do like how the team leaders had t o get there teams to play as they said to play. This made the children able to work together.

After this the children got a choice between Pizza and a microwave and in the end chose the microwave which caused a lot of conflict between the children. Children were also extremely angry about the curfew. The greens who are now the cooks were also angry about the conditions the kitchen was left in by the yellows.  Later on a twister came and the town went into huge damage. Although it seems it will easily recover. At a town meeting the yellow teams leader was voted for reelection but it was decided she could stay. after this a young girl named Mallory won the gold star.

Today we watched another nation episode. In the episode the kids had to kill and eat a chicken but there was a lot of arguing over it and in the end they cast a vote whether or not to kill the chicken or not. Unfortunately there was of counter cultural arguments as the animals lovers thought killing animals is barbaric but in the end they decided to kill at least 2 chickens.

Many people were scared when they killed the chickens but they over came it and took the feathers off the dead chickens. After that they cooked the chickens for dinner and were all happy. The next morning it was freezing cold and many of the yellow teams cooks refused to work out of laziness which made everyone angry. Later they decided to conserve water because almost all the water pumps got frozen. They were later able to get one of the pumps working. after this they had a town meeting and it was announced that a new composition to win a gold star would happen. The composition was a challenge to get buckets of water and put them in pipes so it could go to a water wheel. The winners get the same as usual as upper class and then it goes down to lower class. I see this as an example of subculture because there going to be sorted into different jobs depending on who wins but still part of the same culture.

In the end the blue team won first, red won second, yellow won third and green won last. in the end the children had to choose between a water slide and water pumps and chose the water pumps. In the end all the teams were happy for each other and were still happy when they won i see this as norms because its just something that there expected to do like clap and be nice.

One of the girls put herself in the chicken cage because she was an animal lover ad was forced to leave. After this the council argued about who should win the gold star and chose Michael. They also asked if anyone wanted to go and leave the town but no one did. After Michael won his star many people were angry at him because they felt like they deserved it but eventually they went back to there normal everyday life at the town.

I'm super excited for tomorrow because its the new issue of the Walking Dead. last issue ended on a cliff hanger and they say that next issue will be one o the biggest and most important issues of the series. Personally I don't think the main character Rick is gonna make it muck longer because hes had to many close calls and I just think the series would be even more popular if the fans knew how far the writers would go to keep us entertained.

Trying to be a leader

                                                                   
Today in computer class we watched a video about a show called Kid nation about kids trying to run a town with other children but unfortunately there's a lot of chaos. Many of the children are taking to much food and not sharing with the others which is causing conflict. The children have a meeting and only one boy, Michael, was able to organize the meeting and get everyone to work together and work past the dysfunction.(this vocab word fits into the show because all the children were freaking out and arguing).

Later they found a book that told them how to organize the town into four different sections of green, blue, yellow and red. Later a day or 2 later graffiti was found and the older boys were the suspects but before they can investigate a meeting is called and the children are given new businesses to work at and are sorted into upper classes who own the business and then the other children would be sorted into a more lower class position so they will be the workers.I see this as Capitalism one of our vocab words because the upper class run things and are in charge of their independent businesses.

To sort the kids into classes all the colors are sorted into teams and play a game to collect the most water although the water they collect must be there color. In the end red won upper class, blue won merchants, yellow won cooks and green won laborers or the proletarians who work for the upper class as laborers (this is one of our vocab words) . In the end the council(who have all the power) had to choose the prizes of either an out house or a television and chose outhouses for every 5 children. The cooks made breakfast and it was actually enjoyed by the children unfortunately though the yellows refused to clean or do dishes causing more conflict. After this all the children enjoyed the out houses and had fun at the soda saloon then many went and bought candy at the candy store. Another meeting started and the only complaint was about the yellows not cleaning. after this the kids were asked if any of them wanted to leave and only one, an 8 year old named Jimmy decided  to go. After this Sofia, the girl who complained about the yellows was given the golden star which is worth $20,000.

Nation

The kids are trying to build a town. There are living in the desert for 40 days. They have found the deserted town. there is no electronics no adults they are buy them selves. The kids are having a bad time already. They are having a meeting to discuss there feelings. There are starting there challenge and they're going to split the group into 4 districts. One of the kids in the group almost quite. They have to fight for there paycheck. the red team got the upper class and the blue team got merchants and the yellow team got the cooks and the green team got last. Yellow made the best breakfast ever. They are thinking about giving the gold star to the girl who cooks or the boy who gave a good speech. They're having a town hall meeting. The 8 year old is the first to leave. The cook won the gold star. I like that i want to go there and try to build a ghost town so it will function.

Teachers

Some teachers can be nice some can be mean. I have lots of nice teachers in the school i only like specific ones though but there are some really means ones in the school to i don't want to talk about the mean ones though. I like Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Uding, and Mr. Kinder I hope these teachers never get to be mean

Party

My brother is having a birthday party and while he has that i will be at my grandmas. I have to take care and walk the dogs and help with my little sister. He gets to hang out with his friends while i babysit and dog sit. In my opinion that's not fair. I want to play with him although there is a Nintendo 64 and a Xbox 360. How can i play a game when there are dogs and a baby going around the house.

I think that it is not because if everyone is special than no one would be special. I think everyone is special in there own kind of way and without that life would be boring. there would be no excitement in the world. that is why i think he is wrong. I am in my opinion more weird than everyone else.

I am not a big fan of school especially technology but technology is not the worst thing i don't like other classes too. Like C.A. i also like social studies, science and P.E. I liked culture exploration that class was fun and the teacher was nice. One of my favorite classes was Home EC.

Something Weird

I would go to middle earth because i think it would be cool. I hope i wouldn't see dinosaurs because i don't want to be eaten. I have always wondered if there was a middle earth. It really seems fun to go to. every thing in middle earth would be weird on the earths surface what is big up here would be small down there thing small up here would be big down there.

Young Age

I will never forget that my first girl friend. I will never for get my favorite teachers the ones I don't like forget them. I will remember the school i went to because i like the school but some of the teachers o don't like. I like the social studies teacher and the science teach never forget those teachers.

Slide

The water slide is taller than Niagara falls! It is probable going to be taller than 14 stories high. Can your believe that there is going to be 264 steps WOW!!!!! Its going to be about 65mph on the way down.

Small Thing

 

The small device is running on solar power so it can power a phone or computer. The small device is only 2mm tall the blades are 1.8mm long. Can you believe that we wont have to charge phones again? There so small that 1000 of those windmills can fit in a cell phone case comfortably. They are so small 10 of them could fit in a grain of rice

1. It takes lots of arduous to push a car.
2. I assert lots of energy trying to run a mile or a hundred.
3. I pretend to contemplate when lots of my teacher are talking.
4. Some stuff is more durable if spray some type of chemical.
5. The windmill is harnessing power while it is in your phone.
6.  I have made a patent with one of my friends before.
7. I like to build prototype cars, robots, plains, trains its really fun.
8. I like wafers so much there so good really good with ice cream.
9. I can't withstand being accused of something I didn't do.
